Plein-Air Watercolor Painting Workshop with Linda Warner Constantino

Plein-Air Watercolor Painting Workshop

Spannocchia is not just a place but offers a true Tuscan cultural experience you will truly savor.

This watercolor painting workshop is meant to enhance your watercolor skills while also capturing your stay at this inspiring organic farm that overlooks the rolling Italian countryside. There are engaging views in every direction and after a day of painting you will enjoy delicious, home-style Italian meals in a relaxing atmosphere.

I have found watercolor to be both a sketching and painting medium and because of this, basic drawing skills are requirement for this class, though it is open to all watercolor skill levels. Daily plein-air sessions will take place around Spannocchia and in the Museo studio. There will be daily demonstrations focusing on both how to see and compose landscapes while capturing the effects of light and form.Concepts of color value, tone will be stressed  along with how to improve brushwork and mark making techniques that are useful to successful landscape painting. Individual and group feedback will be offered.

A one day cooking class and two half day off site painting tripare also scheduled.

Fee includes: tuition, accommodations, 3 meals per day, group transportation to and from Florence Airport and Spannocchia and field trip. See website for all details.
