A Taste of Tuscany Creatives Retreat

Join Angela Powers and Traveling Painters as we return to Spannocchia for an unforgettable adventure for creatives at a magical working farm in Tuscany. There is something to excite everyone: hiking paths, farm animals, verdant gardens, a swimming pool, cooking classes, beautiful vistas, centuries of rural history, great wine and fantastic food. We will experience a taste of Tuscany and farm life at Spannocchia, all while documenting/journaling our fabulous adventure. Paints, journals and art instruction are included. Soak in the beauty of the Italian landscape and learn about the protection and conservation of Italian culture, cuisine and nature. We will explore the rich history and culture of the region with cooking classes and learn about organic farming and sustainability.

All classes are included. Also included are excursions to Siena and San Gimignano. Siena is a beautiful walled city with it’s seventeen contrade (neighborhoods), with their distinct symbols each represented at the famous Palio horse race that takes place in the city center twice each year. San Gimignano is a small walled village famous for its fascinating medieval architecture and towers, fourteen of which still remain offering impressive views of the village and valley below.

All cooking, culture and art classes as well as art supplies Excursions to Siena and San Gimignano Days will begin with a short art lesson for journaling. Some days will be cooking or cultural classes alternating with days for excursions. We have left time in the schedule to truly enjoy Spannocchia with hiking time or just time to relax by the pool and read a book or paint. You will truly love Spannocchia.
